BUENOS DIAS FAM!

This week has been tons of fun in my new TRIOO! They are some good friends of mine in the mission and the work is always a little more of a party when you got two of your best gal pals right by your side. 

I am back in the ghetto with some good humble chileans. There arent very many foreigners but we got a good scare the other night when a guy on a motorcycle jumped up on the sidewalka nd tried to rob my companion when he came past us but instead just punched her in the gut. My comp is okay, we have just started to do p90x kick boxing for our morning exercises. Aint nobody messin with my clique.

Yesterday I was able to finally meet the one and only Hector. He is a 70 year old machine. He has been giving out Books of mormon to his friends and inviting them to church. This guy contacted Warner and Knight last change in the street and has been a super star friend ever since. We go over yeterday and he was listening to "Preach my gospel"(The missionary guide book that we study)!!! He says, "Yeah, I was just taking advantage of time and started exploring whats on this lds app on my phone and I started listening to this book."He even has a favorite prophet, Brigham young. Do I even have a favorite prophet?? He also brought a bomb friend to church today!Keep calm and find more people like Hector.

Today we contacted a couple from Venezuela. They were full on rejecting us. They were SUPER catholic and were trying to politley push us out the door but Ive never had the spirit touch me so strongly during a contact. I had so much love for this couple after a short 2 minute conversation. We were able to make it into their house, gift them a book of mormon, commit them to read a chapter and bless their home. I dont know why the spirit was insisting so much to persist with this couple but I trust that Heavenly Father knows what He is doing!

Also, we celebrated thanksgiving, kinda! Turkey doesnt exist here, neither does stuffing but we made do with a rotisery (i know I spelt that wrong) chicken and some deviled eggs. Then we topped off the night putting up the christmas tree and blasting Justin Biebers new christmas album (President approved). 

We ended off the week with a stake service project! We have 600 members and 40 people showed up. 19 of those people being missionaries... It wa lit.

I hope you guys can see these!! I dont have a ton of time but i wanted to
send me a few photos and updates. I left parque subercaseaux and moved two
metro stations down to departamental! Mily and Daniel got married and will
be getting baptized in a few weeks and we did a servce with the zone in the
other pic i think. Im a little nervous because i am so imperfect but i know
that callings are inpsired by God and He will give me the faith and
strength to do this! I love and trust Him tons. So i am thankful for that.

Ice cream in da bus - Nov 14, 2018

Summer has arrived in Chile! That means buying ice cream from random men in the BUS and  getting accustomed to sweating perfusley during lunches as we drink blazing hot bean soup. The chileans love their beans YEAR ROUND.

After the lesson of an inactive ärtsy” member, he got out his camera, crouched down and started snapping shots of Cutler and I. I was mortified, but he just giggled and kept snapping probably 20 more photos.

Bekens and Andina are a haitian couple that commited to live the law of chastity before their baptism last week. Its a little tricky because they live together in a little room that only fits a bed and a chair. We went back to do follow up and Bekens told us that they are sleeping in opposite directions to live the law of chastity! Hey, whatever works. Go Bekens and Andina!

This last Sunday we were assigned to give talks so every time we invited someone to church we told them they pretty much had to come because we were going to give talks. I was so nervous (as usual) but more than ever because I was given a topic that was super difficult, the second coming and the apostasy??!!But two really great things happened. As I was up there preaching, all of the people we had invited had just kept rolling into church! And after, a couple people asked me for a copy of my talk!

The best part of this week was a MIRACLE! Mily, who has been trying to get married for the last ten months or so ever since she recieved a testimony of the truthfullness of these things and watched her two daughters get baptized in February and then her son when he turned eight in June (her husband Daniel came to Chile from Venezuela a year before them and was him who first found the church and was baptized), was able to find a date from the registro civil to get married on the 16th of Noviembre, just five days before her visa expires!  It was her who recieved the impression to do a family fast for the first time to ask for all the things they are waiting for as a family. Dariana, Daniela, and Mily fasted the whole 24 hours and Daniel Abraham didn't eat breakfast (her husband, Daniel, couldn't do it for work and such). It was only two and a half days later that Jose Soto called her and told her that, through her mother who worked previously in the Registro Civil in Pena Flor, he had found a date for the 16th. This is a miracle because at any other registro civil, you won't find open dates until Febrero or Marzo. And this all happened just a few weeks after we committed her to living the law of chastity. Mily told us that they need to fast every fast sunday now and that forever and onward she has to be exactly obiedient because she's seen that that's what the Lord requieres if we want his blessings. I learned from this that God truly does exercise his power according to our obedience, as well as that, when we believe we are praying and waiting for the Lord, he sometimes may just be waiting for us.

Exact obedience brings miracles! Have a stellar weekkkk!!!
