Hey guys! Whats up?
First of all, my comp and i were laying at bed at night and i was telling her a story about my family and all she responded with was "Keep calm and love Hermana Pulsiphers family" She is a latina but i have no idea where she gets these lines. I die everytime. I always ask her if she watches movies in english and then writes down the famous catch phrases. She tells me no but she so does. I love her so much. We just ended this change and we got to stay together!! We needed to stay together because 1. I have never felt more myself with any one of my comps in my mission, and 2. We need to see a baptism together in this ward!
This week we met the most amazing person in the world. Her name is Gina, and she is haitian and she instantly opened her door to let us in and teach her about the plan of salvation. After the lesson we asked her if she would be baptized and she told us, "Uh yes, but hermanas i need to get baptized sooner than in august because what if i die tomorrow??" We gave her a baptism calender and on the day of her baptism she wrote "MY BAPTISM" in big bulk letters. We are keeping calm and loving Gina.
Also, the most real gift of tongues experience i have ever had in my life. I recieted the first vision in creol (The haitian native language) and the lady we were teaching understood perfectly. We are putting a goal to learn creol because we have another goal to find a haitian to marry after the mish. They are the most amazing people guys!! Its a little sad because the only chileans that want to talk to us about God are the members but we are so grateful for the haitians that were sent here.
Something I have been working on is "hope" in Jesus Christ. When we hope for things, we have hope that He will give us the blessings we are promised if we do all that we can! But with that, comes a lot of sacrifice on our part. What are we willing to sacrifice to recieve those blessings? Being exactly obedient, giving up certain things that maybe arent exactly breaking the commandments but are coming really close to it, or sacrificing time to do the little things like praying longer or studying the scriptures more deeply? I have a deep testimony that our Heavenly Father will bless us when we go the second mile! He puts his blessings IN the second mile.
I love you all so much, thank you for your prayers and yours thoughts. Evvery day i thank my Heavenly Father for sending me out here. And for giving me a few extra pushes to get me out here too.
I hope you all have an amazing week!! God loves you!

FAM BAM - July 11, 2018
Whats up fam?!
Loved your letters, pictures, and videos this week! I love my family so much, you guys are so beautiful! Definitely felt a little homesick, listening to the final testimonies of 25 of the best missionaries in our mission. Each and every one of them are my goals and it otivated me a ton to be a better missionary. There is always room to improve and always something to learn in life!
Yesterday, we contacted a less active member who only got baptized because she thought the elders were cute, she only lasted a year going to church and then bean to ask us questions about the clothes we wear in temples and how weird our religion is. But she told us that she loved us and we could come back anytime. Perfect! lol.
I have learned this week that chileans are pretty much the laziest people in the world. I love them, but they literally dont leave their houses for anything, not even to work. Whereas, the haitians are rolling in and stealing all of their jobs and are super down to hear what a gringa and an argentinen have to say about God! Whenever we have a bad day, we just head over to our receptive haitians. seriously love them. They make me laugh so hard.
We met a 13 year old girl this week who is super receptive!! AND SHE IS CHILEAN! That never happens. miracle. She gifted us cute little pens and we are headed to teach her for the first time tonight! Kate can you come teach with us? W eneed your help.
The office elders barged into our house this week to do inspections and it was a complete disaster. It was so embaressing, they took photos of everything to show president and then put one of them on the weekly newsletter the whole mission gets hahaha. it was bad.
Its been super cold here and raining pretty much everyday! We dyed my hair last week and my comp died it completely gray! We obviously didnt understand what it said on the box, and it was right before our meeting with prez, super embaressing haha but he told me i rocked it. Luckily it washed out after a couple times. My hair has been through so much here on the mish. yikes. Also wore space buns to the mission conference to hide the gray hair, i dont know if that was worse but hermana Gwilliam didnt say anything. I think they are just used to my weird style by now.
But i love you guys a ton! I am always thinking and praying for you! Congrats kristi and mike on the new house! And congrats on the new girl in the office! Ill keep uncle kirk in my prayers, poor guy. Thats cool that you guys are all being merciful on him. Hopefully he can realize how blessed he is to have you guys!
I hope you guys have an amzing week!!!!
