Okay this week flew freaking by so fast. I cant even remember but here are
some highlights
I started ping ponging in lessons with my comp.... ayyyy, the language is
acomin.
The missionaries planned a postre activity for our ward and it was a super
good turn out! Some less actives came too and brought some shot glasses for
their juice. Me and my comp made oreo cheesecake and tiramisu and totally
dominated but of course the inactives stole first. Its chill.
I gave my first talk in sacrament meeting on sunday and i spit straight
fire. A bunch of members told me i have the gift of tongues! Also, A man
told me I was going to make the perfect wife, so there is that.
We had cambios yesterday and my new zone is so lit. We had a big activity
today, played capture the flag, and ahhh everyone is so much fun!
Our investigtor Lucie had her babies yesterday! She named one of them after
our ward mission leader and Hermana Parra was with her every step of the
way! Gosh, I love my ward. They are so supportive of our investigators! We
got permission to go visit her in the hospital so we will do that tomorrow!
Our baptism for our haitian Ricardo is this Saturday! This is my first
baptism where I was super involved and it actually feels like i
contributed. Im super stoked!
Updates from Hermana Pulsipher as she serves as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for 18 months.

January 17, 2018
My highlight for this week has been our investigator Lucie. Watching her testimony grow has been a super rad experience for sure. She speaks barely any spanish, is due with twins next month, but she is there every single sunday and relief society lessons. We will be teaching her (with a translator), and someone will walk in start asking questions and she will just shut them down with the strongest testimony in a language i cant even understand, but the spirit is so strong. Our relief society threw a baby shower for her this weekend, and it was one of the most fun church activitys ive ever been to. My ward is super involved in with the missionaries and their investigators which is new to me because no offense, I dreaded whenever the missionaries came over for dinner.
I think a common trend with our investigators is that most of them feel as if they arent worthy enough to be baptized so they push their baptismal dates out super far. But I feel so different. I know that Godwants us in the messiest parts of our lives. He is always knocking at our door, and when we let Him in, we put Him in the cleanest part of our house. We dont want Him to see the kids toys scattered everywhere, or the pasta on the stov. Then we go to run errands, drop the kids off at soccer practice, etc. Then we come home late at night, worship at His feet for a few minutes and promise Him you will try harder tomorrow. But the thing is, Jesus Christ knows how to clean the pasta off the stove, can help you with your errands. He knows how because He has been through all of that. He has been lower than all of that. He is not waiting for us to be perfect. Perfect people dont need a Savior. He came to save people in their imperfections. He wants us in our brokenness, in our unhappiness, in our guilt and our grief. This world can be a really dark place and we need His light to give us strength. His light can heal wounds that we once thought could never again be healed. We need Him and He is ready to come to us, if we will open the door and let Him.
